This three day workshop will focus on 'post basic series' sessions.

Our intention is to explore the potential of four-hand work as a learning tool to acquire more sensation of connection through the client's body. Michael and Eduardo have enjoyed working together doing 400+ four-hand sessions. Their personal experience has taught them a great deal about how to reach key areas in a client's body while working with a partner or alone.

"THE WORD STRUCTURE IS NOT LIMITED TO MATTER. IT CAN ALSO APPLY TO IDEAS."
-- Dr. Ida P. Rolf

Topics will include:

  1. Reading the body to determine where to work in a structure to find a few key areas that unlock symptoms yet, also free the entire structure.

  2. Determine the position of greatest advantage to place the client in. A lot of creativity is employed here. We will demonstrate and explore the "K" position, torsional positions, tracking, gravity and yoga positions as working positions for use in sessions.

  3. Determine the most efficient, powerful vectors to access the key three-dimensional areas to affect the whole structure, as well as determining the most effective stimulus type for each kind of fascial mechano-receptor (as introduced by Robert Schleip).

The result of the sessions are intended to provide the most impact on the client, yet put the smallest amount of stress on the client's nervous system. Working on 'key areas' can provide great relief to the client's symptoms, yet still allow for a leap in the client's integrative process. We also value economy of the practitioner's energy and growth for the practitioner's personal and professional insight, development, touch refinement and joy.

This is a workshop AND RETREAT! A lot of value will be placed on the attendees receiving some nice work in a beautiful setting. We will plan our daily schedule to begin and end early to allow time for you to refresh, relax, and explore this lovely resort.
